Multi Dimensional Training
The Kick-Fit Training Program draws from various modalities and training methods. By crossing several planes of motion in every session, the body becomes stronger and fitter in a shorter period of time. This video illustrates three core strength training exercises which work the shoulders and legs: 1) the single dumbbell press on the exercise ball; 2) the single leg row; and 3) the triple lunge set. Additional floor exercises to tone the glutes and hamstrings while strengthening the back are also illustrated. They include: the glute bridge, single leg bridge, rear leg extension, and circle knee. Significant calorie burning can be achieved with the addition of the following exercises shown in the video: jump rope, stationary bike, bag work, plyometrics (which include bends and thrusts and mountain climbers) and concludes with push ups, focus mitt drills, fencing, and a yoga sun salutation.

KICK-FIT CERTIFICATION |
|
The Kick-Fit Certification Program was originally launched in Miami where Ray Khan developed and implemented the program for public school teachers and their students. Since then, the Kick-Fit Certification Program has grown and now certifies trainers for use by Kickfit Athletics in its corporate fitness programs. The first certification seminar was held at The Riverfront Athletic Club in 2006 and was conducted by Ray Khan, Tom Terwilliger, renowned professional bodybuilder, personal trainer, and lifestyle coach, and Dr. Rafer Leach, a former top 10 ATP player and emergency room physician.
The Program itself is designed to integrate an established kickboxing curriculum to the personal trainer/group exercise instructor. It delivers a complete range of kickboxing techniques and training system, including focus mitt drills, bag work, martial arts style drills, and core strength training. The program stresses the integration of the bike, rope, step, Bosu Ball, weights, and plyometrics for total body conditioning.
The Kick-Fit Certification Program includes a complete training manual. The manual is a result of collaboration between Tom Terwilliger, and Dr. Rafer Leach. The Program also includes testing material, including comprehensive examinations with scoring sheets, to support the certification program. |

Why did I write this book?
In today’s fast-paced society, we all want to get the most out of our training programs in the least amount of time, right? This book was written on the assumption that most of us have very fixed habits and regimented thought processes; that every new idea introduced to us gets corralled into a standard method of thinking. This conventional methodology prevents most of us from retaining our youth and vitality because we repeat old training habits and routines, and watch ourselves deteriorate physically and mentally. In the end, gravity will win, but we can slow down the aging process by constantly and consistently welcoming and accepting new training concepts. That’s the message I want to share with you, and the reason I authored this book. continue
